Department of Providing Scientific and Methodological Framework for Military Prosecutor’s Offices Activity was created in the structure of the Institute for Scientific Research of the National Academy of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine by the Decree of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on November 3, 2016.

Main objectives
To conduct fundamental and applied scientific research aimed at providing scientific and practical framework for Military Prosecutor’s Office activity by studying foreign military prosecution services’ experience of crime counteraction for the purpose of its implementation into national legislation.
 
To detect the problems of existing legislative and regulatory framework for combating crimes under Military Prosecutor’s Offices jurisdiction and to draw up expert opinions on draft laws of Ukraine on above-mentioned issues.
 
To draw up scientifically valid proposals for improvement in legal framework for Military Prosecutor’s Office activity.
 
To enhance efficacy of scientific and research work, to make use of positive national and international experience of law enforcement agencies practice and of up-to-date achievements of legal sciences with the aim of their implementing into prosecutorial activity as well as in scientific and educational activity of the Academy.
 
To contribute to law-making process by drawing up scientific opinions and proposals for legislative acts.

Problems of serving a sentence by servicemen during the special period.
