General information

Department of legal literature and digital data resources was created on the basis of library of the National Academy of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine in February 2016 as a result of reorganization.

Main objectives of the department are to provide access to a variety of resources of information for students, graduate students, teaching staff and employees, to systematize and to analyze data. The department (library) is a specialized library of general usage pursuant to its intended function, specialization, volume of book stock, users and other features.

From the very beginning of its creation, the department of the Academy actively forms the book stock, which currently contains literature in each area of jurisprudence (theory and practice) and in other areas of modern state building of Ukraine. The book stock contains more than 26 thousand copies of books from different fields of law, history, philosophy, sociology. 87 periodicals, 22 of them are professional, come to the library and have great value for the Academy.

The library serves as a learning space for students to do independent work or to prepare for exams. It provides the range of learning opportunities for more than 1000 individuals. The volume of Digital Library stock has grown up to 1746 issues.

The department has established relationships with many publishing houses of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, the library cooperates with university libraries of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, Dnipro and others.

Moreover, one can use the digital catalogue to search for a needed book that makes it significantly easier to find information.
