On 21–22 June 2018 Dnipropetrovskyi State University of Internal Affairs jointly with the National Prosecution Academy of Ukraine, Regional Office in Eastern Europe of the Department of the Organization of United Nations on drugs and criminality, Ukrainian National Group of International Association of Criminal Law and the Department of counteraction to drug crimes of the National Police of Ukraine are holding ІІ International Scientific and Practical Conference „Counteraction to drug crimes in Ukraine and in the world: problems and solutions to them” in Dnipro (Ukraine).
Thus we would like to kindly invite representatives of international organizations, higher educational institutions, scientific establishments, Ukrainian and foreign non-governmental institutions, which at the interdisciplinary level will discuss the problems on building of international cooperation to fight illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors.
The purpose of the conference is to unite efforts of law enforcement officers of Ukraine and foreign states, European and world experts, other persons interested in solving the problems of counteracting drug crimes, studying experience in this area in the global, regional and local perspective.
Priority directions of the conference:
- theoretical-legal and conceptual approaches to counteracting drug crimes in the world;
- international experience of the activities of law enforcement agencies of foreign countries in counteracting drug crimes;
- the strategy for counteracting drug crimes in Ukraine;
- the activities of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine in the area of counteracting drug crimes and international cooperation in this area;
- counteracting crimes related to the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors, criminal-law remedies;
- detection, prevention and investigation of crimes related to the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors;
- control over the legal circulation of narcotic drugs in Ukraine and in the world.
Languages of the conference: Ukrainian, English, Russian.
Before the conference starts, a collection of articles will be published in the special issue of the “Scientific Herald of the Dnipropetrovskyi State University of Internal Affairs”.

The acceptance of the materials prior to publication will be communicated to the author, and an invoice will be sent for payment depending on the number of pages of publication in the finished layout (publication is free for representatives of foreign countries and doctors of sciences).

The registration fee for participation in the conference is not provided. All travel and subsistence expenses are incurred by the participants at their own expense or at the expense of the party that departs them.
According to the results of the international scientific and practical conference, it is planned to prepare and publish a collective monograph, which will include materials of scientific articles, defined by the editorial board as the best.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES
The scientific content of the article must comply with the requirements approved by the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine of 15.01.2003 number 7-05 / 1 “On increasing requirements for professional publications included in the lists of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine”, namely – the structure should be as follows: problem statement ; analysis of publications in which the solution to this problem was initiated; purpose of the article; presenting main material; conclusions. The names of these structural elements are highlighted in bold text in the text of the article.
The publication manuscript must be typed in a MicrosoftWord text editor and printed in 2 copies. on one side of the white standard A4 sheet and meet the following requirements: fields – 2 cm, font – TimesNewRoman, size (font) – 14, line spacing – 1,5; Pages are not numbered; before the title of the article on the right, separate lines – the author’s surname and initials, scientific degree and academic rank (in their absence there is a position, for example, “teacher”, “applicant”, “graduate student”, etc.), place of work; further in the middle is the title of the article in capital letters, after the name, the UDC number; the following is an abstract in Ukrainian (2-3 sentences and 4-5 key words), the text of the publication; after the text – a list of sources used (in alphabetical order or in order of use) without repetitions, subject to the applicable requirements for bibliographic registration. The text itself also indicates references to the sources used (in square brackets, the reference number on the list at the end of the text, and the page numbers).
After the list of sources used – an abstract in English (the author’s name and title of the article, the text for 2000-2500 characters with spaces, 4-5 keywords).
At the end of the manuscript – the signature of the author and the date.
The volume of the article (without taking into account annotations and the list of sources used) is 8-12 pages. The manuscript of the article is attached to:
- a review certified by the stamp of the relevant institution (for authors with academic degrees or academic titles, the presence of a review is not required);
- information about the author: full name, full name, position, place of employment, scientific degree and academic rank, official address, contact telephone numbers, e-mail;
- electronic media of the manuscript and author’s photo (in jpeg format) – CD-ROM (CD-R).
Materials that do not meet the specified requirements are not accepted. Manuscripts and electronic media do not come back. The editorial staff reserves the right, without the consent of the author, to make changes, additions, and rename the manuscript in the text of the manuscript. In case of receipt of materials from other institutions necessarily carried out their additional review on the appropriate departments of the university. For the reliability of published facts and results of their own research responsibility is borne by their authors. When quoting the materials of the collection, reference to the publication is obligatory. Articles that have already been published or submitted for publication in other editions will not be accepted.
