On October 8-12, 2017, the delegation of the Academy of Justice of the Turkish Republic arrived at the National Prosecution Academy of Ukraine.
The delegation of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Turkey is represented by President of the Academy of Justice Yilmaz Akchil, Deputy President of the Academy Rifat Inanch, Deputy President of the Audit Commission of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors Levent Barish Tiufenkchi, President of the Court of Appeal of Erzurum Mustafa Chetin, President of the City Court of Ankara Izmail Ulukul, President of the city court of the city Stanbul Bekir Altun, chief prosecutor of the Court of Appeal of Bursa Sait Hurelek, chief prosecutor of the city of Bursa Uhurkhan Kush, prosecutor of the prosecutor general’s office at the Court of Cassation Hayreddin Akchil, the judge of the Academy of Justice Ahmet and the translator, Elmaz Kirimli.
President of the Academy of Justice Yilmaz Akchil delivered a speech to the students and academic staff of the National Prosecution Academy of Ukraine and provided answers to questions that interested those present in the room, in particular, the legal status of the prosecutor in the Republic of Turkey, the selection of candidates and their preparation for the post prosecutors and judges, peculiarities of the legal status of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, etc. In addition, the delegation got acquainted with the material and technical base of the Academy, the exposition of the museum of the Prosecutor’s Office, and also visited the shooting range.
During the first day of the delegation’s visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between the National Prosecution Academy of Ukraine and the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, which envisages scientific and scientific-practical activities, bilateral involvement of specialists in the educational process, participation in conferences, roundtables and publishing activities.
Rector Ivan Prysiazhniuk stressed the importance of developing cooperation with the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, in turn, President of the Justice Academy Yilmaz Akchil thanked for the excellent reception, and noted the positive potential of cooperation between the Academies in the development of prosecutorial education and joint scientific and practical activities. The sides exchanged proposals on the development of further cooperation and implementation of the provisions of the treaty.
Delegation of the Academy of Justice of the Turkish Republic in the framework of the program for the Prosecutor General’s of Ukraine, Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Supreme Court of Ukraine. At the same time, the cultural program is planned to visit interesting sites of Kyiv.
